The Six Sigma Racial Equity Institute (SSREI) is an Indiana-based nonprofit that teaches Black women critical problem-solving skills to receive a six sigma green belt certification. These professionals are trained and coached through the completion of a community-based project focused on driving improvements to racial equity in Central Indiana.
Hughley partnered with the SSREI to coach a second cohort of black women. This year’s project focused on improving equitable outcomes for Indianapolis Public School students and families. Specifically, our project team focused on making improvements to the capture of data and the delivery of essential information to families. The team worked to understand the business issues, identify underlying causes, and delivered a series of improvement recommendations aligned with the rebuilding stronger initiative.
At the conclusion of the community project, the women were certified as six sigma green belts. Congratulations to these black professionals on a job well done!
